Warranty & Shipping Policy

 

Warranty Coverage

LKQ Motors warrants all parts sold (unless otherwise specified) according to the information provided by our sales agents. Our used engine warranty is limited to manufacturing defects of internal engine components only, including:


  • Block
     
  • Heads
     
  • Pistons
     
  • Crankshafts
     
  • Camshafts
     
  • Rockers
     

Excluded Parts: Accessories and bolt-on items are not covered, including but not limited to switches, sensors, cables, turbo, electronics, belts, hoses, water pumps, manifolds, wire harnesses, valve covers, gaskets, brackets, oil pan, flywheel, etc.


Diesel Engines: Injectors, high-pressure fuel pumps, and all other external accessories are not covered.

Shipping & Labor: Not covered under warranty.


2. Installation Requirements

  • Professional Installation Required: Engines and transmissions must be installed by a certified mechanic. Warranty is void if installation is not performed professionally.
     
  • Oil System: New oil and filter must be installed upon installation. Customer must flush the oil system and change the oil pump.
     
  • Tune-Up & Maintenance: Required at installation—timing components, plugs, gaskets, seals, etc. must be inspected or replaced.
     

3. Warranty Exclusions

Warranty is void for:


  • Racing or competitive use
     
  • Improper installation
     
  • Modifications or forced induction (e.g., turbo, nitrous, supercharger)
     
  • Overheating due to user negligence
     
  • Vehicles with pre-existing damage or incorrect engine fit
     
  • Bolt-on parts, manifolds, sensors, wires, ignition, and other accessories
     
  • Missing heat tabs
     

4. Engine & Transmission Claims

Defective Engine/Transmission Procedure:


  1. Submit a written report with photos from a Certified Mechanic only. Include mechanic’s certification and contact info.
     
  2. Email the claim to: info@lkqmotor.net
     
  3. LKQ Motors will verify documentation and decide whether to:
     
    • Replace the defective part, or
       
    • Refund the original cost (shipping and labor not included).
       

  1. Returned engine/transmission must include all original components. Missing parts may result in adjustment of replacement.
     

5. Maintenance & Operation Requirements

  • Proper oil and coolant levels must be maintained at all times.
     
  • Cooling system must be flushed upon installation.
     
  • Timing belt/chain and other timing components must be inspected and replaced if needed.
     
  • Engines must be installed within 7 business days of delivery.
     

6. Shipping & Handling

  • Shipping is typically 7–14 business days, depending on size and location.
     
  • Customer must provide a valid working phone number prior to shipment.
     
  • Inspect the package for damage before signing delivery documents. Shipping insurance is provided by the carrier, not LKQ Motors.
     
  • UPS and FedEx are used for shipping. Heavier items (motors, transmissions, doors) may use specialized freight.
     

Shipping Charges: Non-refundable.
Restocking Fee: 30–45% for cancellations or returns, depending on timing.


7. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Orders can only be canceled before shipment.
     
  • Deposits are non-refundable.
     
  • Returns are accepted only with prior authorization. Parts must be returned in original assembled condition.
     
  • Refunds are limited to the original purchase cost; shipping, labor, and handling are not reimbursed.
     

8. General Terms

  • Warranty is one-time per product purchased.
     
  • Warranty is non-transferable.
     
  • LKQ Motors is not liable for damages due to towing, downtime, loss of vehicle use, lodging, or rental costs.
     
  • Any dispute regarding the warranty must be communicated within 7 days of receipt.

Return & Cancellaton Policy

 

 

At LKQ Motors, we are committed to providing high-quality auto parts and ensuring a seamless shopping experience. However, we understand that sometimes products may not meet your needs. Below are our return, cancellation, and shipping policies to guide you through the process:

 

Cancellation Terms and Conditions

A) Before Shipment:
Orders can be cancelled only before they are shipped.


  • Within 24 hours of booking: A nominal processing fee of 5% will be charged on the total amount paid. The remaining amount will be refunded.
     
  • After 24 hours but before shipment: A restocking fee of 25% will be charged on the total amount paid. The remaining amount will be refunded.
     

B) After Shipment:
Once an order has been shipped, cancellation is no longer possible. If the order has left our facility, no cancellation will be processed, and the cancelled amount will not be refunded.


No Refund on Shipping:
Shipping charges are non-refundable. Customers are responsible for any additional shipping costs, including extra charges incurred during delivery. Only the cost of the part will be refunded in the event of a return.

Used Parts Disclaimer

LKQ Motors sources auto parts from a network of over 5,000 inventories across the United States. Although we inspect all parts for functionality, we are not responsible for cosmetic imperfections such as rust, slight color variations, or minor wear and tear. These conditions are typical for pre-owned items and do not affect performance.


Customer Responsibility: It is the customer’s responsibility to evaluate the part's suitability. For detailed information about a part's history or condition, please specify before purchase.

Return, Cancellation & Shipping Policy – 15 Days

  • Return Window: Returns must be made within 10–15 days of purchase. Returns after this period or lost/stolen packages will not be accepted.
     
  • Lost or Stolen Packages: File a claim directly with the shipping company if a return is lost or stolen during transit.
     

Shipping Costs and Fees / Residential Delivery Terms

  • Additional Fees: Residential deliveries may incur extra shipping charges depending on size, weight, or handling requirements. Fees are calculated at checkout.
     
  • Delivery Access: Residential deliveries may require coordination for large/heavy parts. Additional charges may apply.
     
  • Liftgate Service: For large parts, liftgate service may be required. Fees typically range between $150–$200.
     
  • Non-refundable Charges: All residential delivery fees, including liftgate and access fees, are non-refundable.
     
  • Delivery Time: Residential deliveries may take longer than shipments to business addresses.
     
  • Customer Responsibility: Ensure delivery location is accessible. Access restrictions or failed delivery attempts may incur additional fees.
     

Expedited Shipping Clause

  • Availability: Only for certain products and locations.
     
  • Shipping Times: Faster than standard shipping; exact delivery depends on service chosen and destination.
     
  • Additional Costs: Non-refundable. Clearly communicated at purchase.
     
  • Order Processing Time: Expedited shipping affects delivery speed, not processing time.
     

Other Expenses

LKQ Motors does not reimburse installation costs, labor charges, towing fees, or any expenses beyond the cost of the auto part itself.

Damaged Product

  • Report Damage: Must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
     
  • Failure to Report: LKQ Motors is not responsible for damages if not reported within 24 hours.
     
  • Shipping Damage: Report to the shipping company within 24 hours.
     

Warranty and Credit Card Consent Forms

  • Forms Required: Must be signed and dated within 48 hours. Failure may result in shipping delays and may void the warranty.
     

Mileage Disclaimer

LKQ Motors is a parts-locating company and does not guarantee the mileage or condition of parts. While we test parts for quality, mileage is not guaranteed.
