 At LKQ Motors, we are committed to providing high-quality used auto parts that meet our customers’ expectations. This Warranty Policy (“Policy”) explains the terms, coverage, exclusions, and procedures related to the warranty of all products purchased from LKQ Motors. By purchasing any part from LKQ Motors, you agree to all terms outlined herein.

Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.

General Warranty Statement

LKQ Motors provides a limited warranty on all parts sold, unless otherwise specified in writing. This warranty covers functional defects of the part at the time of delivery. Any oral statements or representations made by our employees or sales agents do not alter or expand the warranty unless confirmed in writing.

Engine Warranty Coverage

The used engine warranty applies only to internal engine components and is limited to manufacturing defects. Covered internal components include:

• Engine Block
   
• Cylinder Heads
   
• Pistons
   
• Crankshafts
   
• Camshafts
   
• Rocker Arms
   

This warranty does not cover any external, bolt-on, or accessory components, such as switches, sensors, belts, hoses, electronics, turbo, gaskets, valve covers, brackets, oil pans, flywheels, wire harnesses, or other accessories.

Diesel Engines:
Fuel injectors, high-pressure fuel pumps, and all external accessories are excluded from warranty coverage.

Shipping, Labor, and Installation Costs

The warranty covers the cost of the defective part only. Shipping charges, freight fees, labor costs, towing, or any other expenses associated with installation or replacement are not covered.

Professional Installation Required

All engines and transmissions must be installed by a certified mechanic. Warranty coverage is void if installation is performed by an unqualified individual.

Oil System & Fluids

• New engine oil and filters must be installed at the time of installation.
   
• The oil system must be flushed, and the oil pump inspected or replaced if required.
   

Maintenance and Tune-Up Requirements 

At the time of installation, the following components must be inspected and replaced if necessary:

• Timing belt, chain, tensioners, and guides
   
• Gaskets and seals
   
• Spark plugs and ignition components
   

Failure to perform the required tune-up or preventive maintenance voids warranty coverage.

This warranty does not cover defects or damages caused by:

• Racing, competitive use, or off-road use
   
• Improper installation, negligence, or misuse
   
• Modifications or forced induction (e.g., turbochargers, superchargers, nitrous kits)
   
• Overheating due to lack of maintenance or improper cooling
   
• Vehicles with pre-existing damage or incorrect engine fitment
   
• Missing, altered, or damaged heat tabs
   
• Failure to follow installation, maintenance, or operational requirements
   

Additionally, cosmetic imperfections (rust, scratches, color variation, wear) are normal for used parts and are not covered.

Documentation Required

To submit a warranty claim, customers must provide:

1. A written diagnostic report from a certified mechanic detailing the defect
    
2. Clear photographs of the defective part
    
3. Mechanic’s certification and contact information
    

All claims must be submitted to:

Claim Resolution

After review, LKQ Motors will, at its sole discretion:

• Replace the defective part, or
   
• Refund the original purchase price of the part
   

Shipping, labor, installation, or other associated costs are not refundable.

Returned parts must include all original components. Missing or altered components may result in partial or denied claims.

To remain eligible for warranty coverage:

• Maintain proper oil and coolant levels at all times
   
• Flush the cooling system upon installation
   
• Inspect and replace timing belts, chains, and related components as required
   
• Install engines within seven (7) business days of delivery
   

Failure to follow these requirements will void the warranty.

• The warranty is one-time per product and non-transferable
   
• LKQ Motors is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages, including towing costs, vehicle downtime, rental vehicles, lodging, or loss of use
   
• Any disputes or claims must be communicated to LKQ Motors within seven (7) days of receiving the product
   

Customers are responsible for:

• Verifying compatibility and condition of the part before purchase
   
• Following installation and maintenance guidelines
   
• Filing claims and providing required documentation within the specified time
   

Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in voided warranty coverage.

This Warranty Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the state in which LKQ Motors operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
